My name is Moose and I am a 1 year old XL breed dog.
Some may call me a mutt, but I am mixed with a very old mastiff breed that created the Rottweiler, the Bernese Mountain Dog, and the Greater Swiss Mountain dog. Some people call those dogs "Roman Rottweilers" - they look very similar to a rottie, but are huge and have mastiff-like features as well.
My birthday is February 6th of every year and I was born in 2010.
I love people, I love food, I'm good with animals of all kinds pretty much (some exceptions), and if I love you I will not only drool all over you, but I will try to sit or lay in your lap! Please excuse my size
I stand between 2 1/2 to 3 feet tall at the shoulders and I weigh about 120 pounds right now.
I am still a puppy until I am 24 months old, then I become a young adult. Because of my breed I may not stop growing until I am anywhere from 3-5 years old.
The most food I've ever consumed was 50 pounds of kibble every week and a half. I eat roughly 30 pounds every two weeks now until my next growth spurt.
I will be going to school to be trained for search and rescue and to be a therapy dog so I can visit people in the nursing home and hospitals. I'm very gentile, caring and loving and I'd love all of the attention! I also naturally try to protect and if I have to, save the people I love. It's just who I am!
You will find that I'm a big lovable ham and that if you scratch my side near my ribs at just the right place, you'll get my leg kicking for sure! I really love meeting new people and making new doggie friends.
I enjoy swimming, walks, hikes in the woods, car rides, and travelling to sight-see different places :) Everywhere I go I like to show off to people, make them notice me so they come give me some love and pettings.
I would really really like to visit my "twin", Luna-
We're not really twins, just look-alikes, but she is half my size and has one different breed than me (instead of a little bit of husky she has a little bit of hound in her)

There's a little bit of unknown with Moose as we have found out.
Rottweiler? Not really.
There once was a breed of Mastiff that lived in Rome. This breed later created the German Rottweiler, Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, and the Bernese Mountain dog.
Moose looks a little bit like all three, but not enough to be half of any one of those breeds and through photos we know what his parents looked like.
This breed of Mastiff does not appear to have a name, however, which has become very frustrating. If no name can be found, I guess we'll have to come up with a proper name for it so people recognize it as it's own dog.
